Payment Methods

Methods of Payment accepted.

We offer a variety of payment methods for your convenience.  Paying by Credit Card is the preferred method of payment;  it is quick and safe, being secured by an SSL 256 bit encrypted payment gateway.  The name Desktopshopper.com.au will appear on your credit card statement.

Credit Cards -  

We currently accept Visa and Master card.  American Express can only be accept by prior arrangement only and on the basis you agree to pay the 3% surcharge on the total value of your order.

Credit card payments and any personal information entered on this site are protected by a 256 bit SSL encrypted payment gateway. The industry standard required to accept online credit card payments is only 128 bit SSL; we have a 256 bit SSL security certificate for your added protection.  For more information on the security measure enabled on this site, please click here.

We are presently unable to accept credit card payments from international banks unless a scan of the front and back of the card is emailed to us (info@desktopshopper.com.au) prior to making payment.  Unfortunately any payment made by international credit cards without first sending us the required scan will be refunded.

Money Order and Cheque -  

If you would like to pay by Australia Post Money Order or Cheque please make payment payable to DesktopShopper.com.au and mail it to the following address, along with a copy of your order confirmation: -

Please note, cheques will only be accepted by repeat customers, and by prior arrangement only.  In the event a cheque payment bounces or is not honoured, all fees and charges incurred by us as a result of this will be added to your order total and an alternative method of payment will need to be made within 24 hours.  By sending a cheque in payment of your order, you agree to these additional terms.  To see our terms & conditions of trade, please click here. 

Direct Deposit - Internet Transfer -

Please allow up to 3 business days for your deposit to show up in our bank account.  If your payment is made by internet transfer after 5pm EST on any business day, it can take an extra day to show up in our account.  We will send you an email as soon as your payment is received.

Paypal - 

If you choose to pay with Paypal, you will be redirected to Paypal's secure payment site upon completing our checkout process.  Our paypal payment username is: paypal@desktopshopper.com.au   Please be aware that if you pay via eCheque (Paypal), funds are not cleared for approximately 5 business days.  Once cleared funds are received we will process your order.  

Layby -

Due to numerous requests, we are now able to accept layby's.  Layby terms are as follows: -

Terms:  8 weeks (unless otherwise agreed - please email to request different terms)

Initial Deposit:  20%

Minimum installments:  8 or 4 depending on frequency

Payment frequency:  Weekly/ Fortnightly

Percent forfiet on cancellation:  15% order value.

We recommend sending cash by registered mail or express post (both are trackable).  For international orders, foreign currency will only be accepted by prior arrangement.

Checkout Process -

Once you have completed the check out process you will be sent an email detailing your order, including what you have ordered, the price, the shipping method, and your chosen payment type.  If you do not want to use your credit card online, you can call us to process you payment over the phone (To Be Inserted).
